Americans Proud of Obama! on Wednesday, March 05, 2008 5:22:07 PM
How many others have been wondering the same thing as me?
Why is it "Politically Incorrect" to be a "Morally Correct" Candidate in this election?
Supporters take pride in Obama's clean, "not politics as usual" approach to the recent primaries in OH, TX, RI & VT.
He closed a huge gap while campaigning & was tied or slight lead UNTIL there was suddenly a huge onsalught of false and misleading negative attacks put out by Clinton or her supporters.
I've dubbed these attacks as "Voter Terrorist Attacks" because they centered on people's fears about terrorists by showing photos of Obama in a robe & turban, questioned his name and repeatedly questioned his religion (though being Muslim shouldn't be a problem in America anyhow).
The ENORMOUS amount of e-mails and blog posts I and other citizens received were literally saturated with the voter terrorist attacks against Obama. For example: On Craigslist, under "politics", the same posts repeating these attacks (word for word in most cases) were obviously painting the picture they were posted by Clinton supporters AND they were posted on ALL the states in which the next primaries were coming up.
Obama supporters began donating to his campaign every time we saw a lie posted about him...we were going broke trying to keep up!
Obviously these "posters/bloggers" are either being paid to do this OR they are very loyal Clinton supporters who are following their candidate's example and engaging in very negative campaigning practices.
Clinton sits back with this smug, "little miss innocent me" persona about the voter terrorist attacks and does nothing to rein in her supporters.
Clinton's campaign is desperate to win at all costs, including the self-destruction of her own Democratic Party--not much of a leader there. It just shows her true colors as a self-centered woman who is willing to throw the Democratic party under the bus while she throws it into gear and pile-drives it into the ditch!
What has she really achieved? Obama went into the last primary leading by 90 pledged delegates---he came out of the primary leading by 132 pledged delegates according to the counts on MSNBC displayed prior and after, as of March 6th (AM).
We take great pride in Obama for not slinging the mud, despite the fact there's a huge pile of stinky cow pie to question Clinton about.
He held his own (even gained the lead) against Clinton when discussing his qualifications and the issues. The slip in support never surfaced until Clinton began hurling voter terrorist attacks one after another in the final 2-3 days before election day in these states. THAT is what lost Obama votes in these states, NOT the campaign issues.
As far as Clinton's hint at her and Obama on the same ticket---I say HELL NO! We don't need to tarnish Obama's reputation by associating with trash-talking politicians. I am glad he brushed off the notion to the press. He mentioned looking for a VP, even across party lines. I am in COMPLETE support of him doing just that--to pick the best person for the job period.
Mike Huckabee's morals and campaigning seem to align with Obama's--now that might be a winning match I would vote for come November. However, if Clinton and Obama join forces I will vote Republican or not at all, as I'm not that fond of McCain either.
Just my two cents........Very disappointed in Hillary Clinton and her self-centeredness that is causing the Dems. to split.
